Make a printable sheet of passport photos

FreeNo uploadNo signupWorks offline

A photo studio prints a sheet of identical passport photos and you cut them apart. This does the same thing from the photo you already have: copies at the exact physical size, laid out on the paper you are going to print on, with thin cutting guides. The result carries a 300 DPI tag, so printing it at 100 % gives photos that measure what they are supposed to measure.

How to use Passport Photo Sheet

Passport Photo Sheet – Fill an A4 or 4 × 6 sheet with copies of one passport photo, ready to print. Free, no upload.
  1. Choose a photo that is already cropped to passport shape – the passport photo maker does that part.
  2. Pick your paper and the photo size your form asks for.
  3. Click Make sheet and print the result at 100 %, not “fit to page”.

Supported formats

  • Input: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC
  • Output: JPG at 300 DPI

How many photos fit

With a 2 mm margin and a 2 mm gap between photos – enough to cut them apart without slicing into the next one – this is what each sheet holds. Change the gap or the margin and the count changes, which is why guides that state one number without saying either are no use.

Print at 100 %, or none of this matters

The sheet is built in millimetres and saved with its resolution written into the file, so a 35 mm photo is 35 mm wide on paper. Every print dialog offers “fit to page” or “scale to fit”, and that setting rescales the whole sheet to the printer’s margins – which makes every photo slightly the wrong size, usually a few per cent small. Choose “actual size”, “100 %” or “none” instead. Measure one photo with a ruler before you cut them all out.

What this does not check

It lays out the photo you give it. Whether that photo meets your form’s rules – head size, background, expression, how recent it is – is a different question, and the passport photo maker on this site checks those against the official specs for a particular form. Crop and check there first, then come here to fill a sheet.

The cutting guides

A thin grey line is drawn around each photo. It sits on the photo’s own edge rather than outside it, so cutting along the middle of the line gives a photo at the right size with no white border left on one side. Turn them off if you would rather measure, or if your form objects to any visible border at all.

Limitations

  • The photo is placed as given: it is not cropped, centred on a face, or checked against any form’s rules.
  • Printed size depends on printing at 100 %; “fit to page” rescales everything.
  • A photo that is not already the right shape will be stretched to the size you choose.

Privacy

Files you choose are read into your browser’s memory and processed on your device; they are not uploaded to a server. Temporary download links are released after use, and the offline cache never stores your documents. More about privacy and limits.

Frequently asked questions

How many passport photos fit on an A4 sheet?

30 at 35 × 45 mm with a 2 mm gap and a 5 mm margin – 5 across and 6 down. Narrow the gap and more fit, but they become harder to cut apart neatly.

How many fit on a 4 × 6 photo print?

8 at 35 × 45 mm, which is what a photo shop usually hands you. That is the cheapest way to get passport photos printed properly – take this file to any print counter.

Why does my printed photo come out too small?

Almost always “fit to page” in the print dialog. It scales the sheet down to fit the printer’s unprintable margins, shrinking every photo by a few per cent. Print at 100 % or “actual size”.

Can I print this at a photo shop?

Yes. Take the file on a phone or a USB stick and ask for a 4 × 6 print at actual size. The 300 DPI tag tells their machine the right scale.

Does it crop my photo to passport shape?

No – it assumes the photo is already the right shape and fills the sheet with it. Use the passport photo maker to crop and check against a form’s rules, then come back here.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The sheet is built inside your browser and saved to your device.

Is it free?

Yes – free, no signup, no watermark on the sheet.
