How to use Passport Photo Maker

Passport Photo Maker – Make passport and visa photos to official sizes. Free, no upload.
  1. Take a photo against a plain wall, facing the camera, with even light.
  2. Choose your country / document.
  3. Check the automatic positioning and adjust with zoom and drag if needed.
  4. Download the photo for online applications or the print sheet for a photo lab.

Supported formats

  • Input: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC
  • Output: JPG (single photo), JPG (4×6 in print sheet)

Passport photo sizes

United States: 2 × 2 in (51 × 51 mm), head 1–1⅜ in (25–35 mm) from chin to top of hair, eyes 1⅛–1⅜ in (28–35 mm) from the bottom. United Kingdom: 35 × 45 mm, head 29–34 mm. Schengen visa and most EU countries: 35 × 45 mm, head 32–36 mm. Australia: 35 × 45 mm, head 32–36 mm. Many other countries use the ICAO 35 × 45 mm format – check your authority’s rules.

Official requirements

Sizes and head-height ranges come from each government’s published photo rules. Requirements such as neutral expression, no glasses (US), even lighting and recent photos still apply – the tool sizes and positions the photo, but cannot check every rule.

Print it cheaply

Download the 4×6 inch (10×15 cm) sheet and print it as a normal photo at any pharmacy or photo kiosk, then cut out the photos.

Photos for online applications

Choose an online form – US visa (DS-160), green card lottery, US passport renewal, UK passport and ETA, ACT, ERAS, IBPS, PAN card and more – and you get the exact pixel size and a file inside the form’s KB limit, with a check against the official rules. For signatures and exams without face rules, use the photo and signature resizer.

Limitations

  • The tool cannot verify every official rule (expression, lighting, glasses).
  • Canada is not included: Canadian passport photos must be taken by a commercial photographer.
  • Background whitening works best with a plain, light background behind you.

Privacy

Files you choose are read into your browser’s memory and processed on your device; they are not uploaded to a server. Temporary download links are released after use, and the offline cache never stores your documents. More about privacy and limits.
