How to use HEIC to JPG

HEIC to JPG – Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPGs that open everywhere. Free, no upload.
  1. Choose or drop your HEIC images.
  2. Adjust the quality if you like (the default suits most photos).
  3. Click Convert to JPG.
  4. Download each image or all of them as a ZIP.

Supported formats

  • Input: HEIC
  • Output: JPG

What is HEIC?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the format iPhones and iPads use for photos since iOS 11. It stores photos at about half the size of JPG with the same quality, but many Windows apps, websites and older devices cannot open it. Converting to JPG or PNG makes the photo open everywhere.

Full quality, correct orientation

Photos keep their full resolution and are rotated the right way up. The default 90% quality is visually identical to the original; choose 100% for the largest, most detailed files.

Limitations

  • Animated images are converted as a single still frame.
  • Very large images (over 100 megapixels) are refused to protect your device’s memory.

Privacy

Files you choose are read into your browser’s memory and processed on your device; they are not uploaded to a server. Temporary download links are released after use, and the offline cache never stores your documents. More about privacy and limits.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert HEIC to JPG on Windows 10 or 11?

Open this page in Edge, Chrome or Firefox, drop the HEIC files and click Convert to JPG – no software to install. Windows itself can only open HEIC after installing extra codecs from the Microsoft Store.

How do I convert HEIC to JPG on iPhone?

Open this page in Safari and choose the photos. When you pick from the Photos library, iOS often hands websites a JPG copy already; HEIC files picked from the Files app are converted here. To stop new photos being saved as HEIC: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible.

How do I convert HEIC to JPG on Mac or Android?

The same way – open this page in your browser and drop the photos. On a Mac you can also open one photo in Preview and choose File → Export → JPEG; this page is faster for many photos at once.

Will I lose quality converting HEIC to JPG?

At the default 90% quality the difference is not visible. JPG files are larger than HEIC because JPG compression is older and less efficient.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser using WebAssembly versions of the same codecs desktop apps use. Your photos never leave your device.

Is it free?

Yes – free with no signup, no watermark and no daily limit. You can process many images at once.

Can I convert many images at once?

Yes. Select or drop as many images as you like; each is processed on your device and you can download them one by one or together as a ZIP.
