The NEET (UG) bulletin sets file sizes, not pixel sizes: the photo must be a JPG between 10 and 200 KB, the signature between 10 and 100 KB. Drop your photo, signature or finger-impression scan and get a file inside the limit, with a check against the bulletin.

Rules from the notice

Besides the size, the notice asks for:

  • JPG, 10–200 KB (no pixel size is set)
  • White background, 80 % face including ears, no mask
  • Taken on or after 1 January 2026
  • JPG, 10–100 KB (no pixel size is set)
  • JPG; the bulletin gives 10–200 KB and 50–300 KB – 50–200 KB meets both

Photo rules

White background, at least 80 % of the photo is your face including both ears, no mask; spectacles only if you wear them regularly. The photo must be taken on or after 1 January 2026, and Polaroid or computer-generated photos are not accepted.

Postcard-size photo

The 4 × 6 inch postcard photo is not uploaded. It is a printed colour photo on a white background that you paste on the proforma downloaded with the admit card and bring to the exam centre.

Pixel sizes you see online

Many websites quote 3.5 × 4.5 cm for the NEET photo. The 2026 bulletin does not set any pixel or centimetre size – only the file size and format – so this tool keeps your photo’s shape.

Limitations

  • Follows the notice named on this page; a newer notification can change the rules – check yours before applying.
  • Checks size, file size and format, not whether the photo itself (expression, lighting, how recent) meets the rules.

Privacy

Files you choose are read into your browser’s memory and processed on your device; they are not uploaded to a server. Temporary download links are released after use, and the offline cache never stores your documents. More about privacy and limits.

Frequently asked questions

What is the NEET photo size?

A JPG/JPEG between 10 and 200 KB, in colour or black and white, on a white background, with 80 % of the photo showing your face including ears (NEET UG 2026 bulletin).

What size should the finger and thumb impressions be?

The bulletin gives 10–200 KB in one place and 50–300 KB in another. A file between 50 and 200 KB satisfies both, which is what this tool aims for.

Which certificates are uploaded and in what size?

Certificates such as category, Class X and PwD certificates are uploaded as PDFs between 50 and 300 KB.

Does 1 KB mean 1000 or 1024 bytes?

Forms differ, so the tool aims for a file that passes either way: under the maximum counted in 1000-byte KB and over the minimum counted in 1024-byte KB.

Are my photo and signature uploaded?

No. They are resized in your browser and never leave your device – important for ID documents.

Is it free?

Yes – free with no signup, no watermark and no limit.
