Rules from the notice

Besides the size, the notice asks for:

  • 200 × 230 px, JPG 20–50 KB
  • Recent colour photo, light (preferably white) background
  • No caps or dark glasses
  • 140 × 60 px, JPG 10–20 KB
  • Black ink on white paper, no capital letters
  • 240 × 240 px (3 × 3 cm at 200 DPI), JPG 20–50 KB
  • Black or blue ink on white paper
  • 800 × 400 px (10 × 5 cm at 200 DPI), JPG 50–100 KB
  • English, black ink on white paper, no capital letters

The hand-written declaration text

Write it in English, in your own handwriting, in black ink on white paper, without capital letters: “I, ___ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

Left thumb impression

Use black or blue ink on white paper. If you do not have a left thumb, the notice allows the right thumb, then fingers, then a toe, in that order.

How to make a clean signature image

Sign in black ink on plain white paper, in good daylight, and photograph it from straight above so the page fills most of the picture. The tool turns the grey paper white, trims to the ink and centres it at the required size.

Photo with a white background

This page crops the photo from the centre. For a face-centred crop and a white background, use the Passport Photo Maker and choose this exam in the list – it finds your face and gives the same size and file-size check.

Limitations

  • Follows the notice named on this page; a newer notification can change the rules – check yours before applying.
  • Checks size, file size and format, not whether the photo itself (expression, lighting, how recent) meets the rules.

Privacy

Files you choose are read into your browser’s memory and processed on your device; they are not uploaded to a server. Temporary download links are released after use, and the offline cache never stores your documents. More about privacy and limits.

Frequently asked questions

What is the IBPS photo size?

200 × 230 px (4.5 × 3.5 cm), a recent colour photo on a light, preferably white, background, as a JPG between 20 and 50 KB. Glasses are allowed without reflections; caps and dark glasses are not.

What is the IBPS signature size?

140 × 60 px, 10–20 KB, signed in black ink on white paper, not in capital letters.

Do I also need a live photo?

Yes. Besides the uploaded photo, the IBPS application captures a live photo with your webcam or your phone (via a QR code), against a light background, without a mask or sunglasses.

Does 1 KB mean 1000 or 1024 bytes?

Forms differ, so the tool aims for a file that passes either way: under the maximum counted in 1000-byte KB and over the minimum counted in 1024-byte KB.

Are my photo and signature uploaded?

No. They are resized in your browser and never leave your device – important for ID documents.

Is it free?

Yes – free with no signup, no watermark and no limit.
