Privacy, offline use and limits
Your files stay on your device
FilesProcess tools read the file you select into your browser’s memory, process it with JavaScript/WebAssembly libraries (PDF.js, pdf-lib, jsPDF and others) and create a new file for you to download. The site has no upload endpoint, no account system and no document storage. File contents, file names and extracted text are never sent to any server or third-party API.
Analytics
This site does not include analytics or tracking scripts. If analytics were ever added, they would not receive file names or document contents.
Offline use and the app cache
When installed or revisited, a service worker caches the app’s own static files (pages, scripts, styles, icons and the OCR engine) so the tools can open without a connection. It never caches documents you open or files you create. Downloaded files are saved by your browser to your device like any other download, and temporary download links are released shortly after.
Honest limits of browser-based PDF tools
- Conversions to Word, Excel and HTML extract text; they do not rebuild the original layout.
- Strong compression and grayscale conversion turn pages into images, so text stops being selectable.
- Visual signatures are images, not certificate-based digital signatures.
- Very large files (above about 150 MB) are refused, and phones may run out of memory sooner.
- PDF/A conversion is not offered because compliant output cannot be produced and validated here.
Each tool page lists its own limitations. Browse all PDF tools.
