Add page numbers to a PDF
Stamp consecutive numbers on your pages in the position and style you pick. Numbering can start from any value and cover all pages or just a range, which is useful when the first pages are a cover or table of contents.
How to use Add Page Numbers to PDF
- Select a PDF.
- Choose position and number format.
- Set the starting number and optional page range.
- Apply and download.
Supported formats
- Input: PDF
- Output: PDF
Skip the cover
Enter a range like 2- to number from page 2. The label uses the real page position, so the cover counts as 1 unless you change the start value.
Rotated pages
Numbers are placed relative to the page as displayed, even if the page is rotated.
Limitations
- Roman numerals are not supported.
- Text uses the built-in PDF fonts, which cover Latin (Western European) characters only.
Privacy
Files you choose are read into your browser’s memory and processed on your device; they are not uploaded to a server. Temporary download links are released after use, and the offline cache never stores your documents. More about privacy and limits.
