  • Input: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, GIF, BMP
  • Output: Same as input, JPG, PNG, WebP

Sharp, high-quality resizing

Images are resampled with the Lanczos-3 filter (via the pica library), which keeps edges crisp and avoids the blurriness and jagged edges of basic browser scaling.

Keep proportions

With “Keep aspect ratio” on, enter only the width (or only the height) and the other side is calculated so the image is not stretched.

Print sizes

For print, enter the size in cm or inches and the resolution (DPI). 300 DPI is standard for photo prints; 150 DPI is enough for documents.

Resize images for Instagram

Instagram shows feed photos 1080 px wide, with a height between 566 px (landscape, 1.91:1) and 1350 px (portrait, 4:5); square posts are 1080 × 1080 and stories and reels are 1080 × 1920. To keep the whole photo without cropping, set the width to 1080 with “Keep aspect ratio” on – if the shape is outside 1.91:1 to 4:5, crop it first with Crop Image (4:5 preset).

Limitations

  • Enlarging an image cannot add detail.
  • Images over 100 megapixels are refused.

Privacy

Files you choose are read into your browser’s memory and processed on your device; they are not uploaded to a server. Temporary download links are released after use, and the offline cache never stores your documents. More about privacy and limits.

Frequently asked questions

Can I resize an image without losing quality?

Making an image smaller with the Lanczos filter keeps it sharp. Saving as PNG adds no compression loss; JPG and WebP are saved at high quality.

Can I make an image bigger?

Yes, but enlarging cannot add real detail, so large upscales look soft.

Can I resize many images to the same size?

Yes. All selected images are resized with the same settings.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser using WebAssembly versions of the same codecs desktop apps use. Your photos never leave your device.

Is it free?

Yes – free with no signup, no watermark and no daily limit. You can process many images at once.
