Check page rotation in a PDF
Scans often mix portrait and landscape pages or carry hidden rotation flags. This checker lists every page’s rotation, orientation and size and highlights pages that differ from the rest.
How to use PDF Rotation Checker
- Choose a PDF.
- Review the summary of orientations and rotations.
- Look at flagged pages with thumbnails.
- Fix them with Rotate PDF or Reorder Pages.
Supported formats
- Input: PDF
- Output: On-screen report
Rotation versus orientation
Rotation is the stored page flag (0, 90, 180, 270). Orientation is how the page looks after rotation. A landscape-looking page can be a rotated portrait page.
What the checker cannot see
It cannot tell if scanned content is upside-down inside the image – use the thumbnails to judge that.
Limitations
- Reports page flags only; cannot detect upside-down content inside images.
Privacy
Files you choose are read into your browser’s memory and processed on your device; they are not uploaded to a server. Temporary download links are released after use, and the offline cache never stores your documents. More about privacy and limits.
