Slow down a song to learn it, speed up a lecture or podcast, or make a slowed or sped-up version. Keep the pitch the same, or let it rise and fall with the speed like a record.
How to use Change Audio Speed

- Choose or drop your files.
- Pick the speed and whether to keep the pitch.
- Click Change speed.
- Play the result and download.
Supported formats
- Input: MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, Opus, MP4, MOV, WebM
- Output: MP3, WAV
Keep pitch or not
With “Keep the pitch” on, the audio is time-stretched with the WSOLA method: voices and instruments stay at their normal pitch. With it off, the audio is resampled like a tape played faster or slower – the classic “nightcore” or “slowed” sound.
Limitations
- Up to 60 minutes and 500 MB per file.
- Which input formats open depends on your browser: Chrome and Edge read the most formats.
- Extreme speed changes with pitch kept can sound slightly phasey.
Privacy
Files you choose are read into your browser’s memory and processed on your device; they are not uploaded to a server. Temporary download links are released after use, and the offline cache never stores your documents. More about privacy and limits.
Frequently asked questions
How do I change speed without changing pitch?
Leave “Keep the pitch” switched on (the default).
Which speeds work best?
0.75× to 1.5× sounds natural with pitch kept. Extreme changes (0.5× or 2×) can sound slightly phasey.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The audio is decoded and processed in your browser, so recordings and videos never leave your device.
Is it free?
Yes – free with no signup, no watermark and no daily limit.
