How it works

Your browser reads the soundtrack out of the video and the LAME encoder – the reference MP3 encoder – turns it into an MP3, all on your device. The video itself is not changed or uploaded.

Supported videos

MP4, M4V and MOV files work in every modern browser. WebM works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox; MKV in Chrome and Edge. If a video has no soundtrack, there is nothing to extract.

Limitations

Up to 60 minutes and 500 MB per file.
Which input formats open depends on your browser: Chrome and Edge read the most formats.

Privacy
